FNoRD is a self-taught artist living and working in the Charlotte metro area of North Carolina. She began her career in 2012, at the age of 45, when a therapist suggested she try to use art as a way to deal with lifelong mental illness and childhood trauma. In short order, FNoRD realized art was healing quite a few old wounds and it became something more than a hobby, it became a mission and a profession.
FNoRD's work reflects the chaotic nature of her illness, and as such is ever changing. She has had shows both solo and group, and sells most of her originals before they have been finished. Her works are in private collections all around the world.
FNoRD works primarily in watercolor, ink, and acrylic and often mixes all three. She has recently begun to try her hand at oils.
She lives with her husband, their son, a furry hound, and several untamed personal demons. She mistakes her paint water for coffee, and lays awake nights worried about things that haven't happened yet.
FNoRD is currently accepting commissions and looking for representation. You can contact her through the contact section of this site.
